Gruff's guide made me laugh on every page from what not to eat, where not to stay (Miss Widge's cottage B&B is a no-no. dont be lured in by her house made of sweets!!) and how to avoid trolls and vain princes.
There's also a cute little pull out map at the back of the book of Fairy Tale Land and a glossary that was nice little extras.
It was quite intresting for me to read, however Oscar only really enjoyed the pictures because, well it's not really a story! And at the moment he just likes and understands the story. It's definitely a book for an older child (about 5-10 years Id guess) because it is cute and fun to read but for the young'uns, I just don't see Ozzy getting into it.
The illustrations by Benji Davies are amusing too with lots of funny diagrams.
I think this would be a fab stocking filler for an older child who loves classic stories and Disney movies but one that will probably be on the shelf for a couple more years in our house.
I received no financial reward for this review. However I did receive the book for review purposes. This is my honest opinion .
